After showing and breeding ponies with my partner for a number of years, we thought   that an opportunity existed to source quality products (often directly from manufacturers) to retail at very reasonable rates to the Australian equine market.

Showing and breeding horses is an expensive hobby, and we believed that there was a market available to provide quality goods at very reasonable prices.

Horses at Home Online Pet Supplies began from this idea on a small scale basis in 2006. We had to be able to purchase quality goods at competitive prices, so a lot of effort went into developing sound business relationships with many suppliers, some of which are now exclusively Horses At Home's  suppliers.

During 2007 after the Equine Influenza outbreak in Australia, Horses At Home, out of necessity, changed our product range to include dog and cat items.

In 2008 we where lucky enough to be one of only 10 businesses Australia wide to be selected for the St George Bank's Small Business Mentoring program. This was a valuable experience for the Business. I attended workshops and weekly phone conferences with a mentor, developing strategies and plans.

In the few years since, the business has grown exponentially, and continues to do so each year.  Our business offers customer service second to none, and I believe this is the key to our success.
